Weather

The weather data contained on this site is collected from a La Crosse WS2350 weather station located in the heart of Staplehurst. The AWS (automatic weather station) is equipped with sensors for temperature, wind, humidity, barometric pressure and rainfall. The sensors are mounted at 2 metres above ground level to comply with official weather station sitings. Recorded data is sent wirelessly from the hygrometer to an indoor base unit. The obtained data is then processed on a computer by Cumulus software, before being uploaded onto this website.  The station was purchased in January 2009 and has been officially recording weather data for Staplehurst since February 2009 to present day.
