Lions have roared – and updated information about dictionary gifts to primary school leavers.
306 were distributed; Staplehurst had 54 of these.
Other schools: Paddock Wood 79; Horsmonden 33; Brenchley 25;
Laddingford 13; Yalding 22; East Peckham 30; Marden 35;
Collier Street 15.
Paddock Wood & District Lions Club has given Paddock Wood school dictionaries for many years, but last year extended to all schools in our area.

Bill Hills, Vice President of Paddock Wood & District Lions Club, assisted by Staplehurst member Bob Ham, presented dictionaries to each of the Year 6 leavers at Staplehurst School on the last day of term, Friday, July 23.
This is the second year that the Lions Club has made presentations at Staplehurst but has given dictionaries to primary school leavers at schools in their area over past years. Over 700 books of words have been given out this year.
