Welshman, although I agree with you, I'm not entirely sure big business, such as the parent company Celesio UK really care about such matters.

Unlikely I would have thought, especially as it's the only chemist in such a large village.

As of 5pm yesterday there was no indication that any branches of Lloyds Pharmacy in this area would be closing. However, coincidentally with the press item to which you refer, Andy Walsh, the pharmacist at Staplehurst branch has been promoted to work at Shepway branch, much to the dismay of the customers here. He will be sorely missed at Staplehurst.
